Hi,
I'm Adele,
a BACP registered pluralistic counsellor offering short-term online therapy. I work with people who want support with life’s challenges in a way that feels practical, warm, and personal. I have workied with people in various settings for many years. I found myself drawn to supporting clients on a deeper level that traditional services were able to provide.
My Journey:
I retrained after redundancy in 2013. In my early twenties, I survived a period of poor mental health, however in the years since, the sense of isolation and loneliness from that time, stayed with me. This lived experience has given me a greater sense of empathy and passion for helping others. Working privately , gives us the freedom to work in a way that makes sense.
My values
I work in a way that is:
✔ compassionate and respectful
✔ collaborative and flexible
✔ practical and focused
✔ inclusive and affirming
✔ paced to feel safe and manageable
Pluralistic therapy recognises that different people are helped by different approaches.
Rather than using one fixed method, we tailor sessions around your goals, preferences, and what is most helpful.
Specific Experience
The British landscape and nature is inspiring, therapeutic and healing in equal measure. However, I also understand some of the challenges in living rurally.
Some of these may be:
Isolation or limited services, Tight‑knit communities and confidentiality concerns
Stigma around mental health support, Financial or agricultural stress,
Limited work, education, or social opportunities
Short-term online counselling sessions can provide an accessible practical option.
What next?
You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting counselling. Many people come feeling anxious, drained, confused, or simply not like themselves anymore — and that’s a great place to begin.
People often work with me around:
• anxiety and constant overthinking
• low mood and burnout
• confidence and self-criticism
• relationship patterns and boundaries
• life changes, breakups, and grief
• feeling stuck or unsure about the future
How pluralistic counselling works
Your journey to recovery
We’ll work together to:
✔ understand what you want to change
✔ choose tools and approaches that suit you
✔ keep therapy focused and useful
✔ regularly review progress
This might include practical strategies for anxiety, exploring emotional patterns, building self-compassion, working through relationship dynamics, or finding clearer direction in life.
I specialise in short-term therapy, usually over 6–12 sessions, though in the spirit of pluralism, this can be flexible depending on your needs.
